Hi, Happy Monday. If you’re new here, welcome, I’m so happy to have you!

A few days ago I introduced a topic I’ve been talking a lot about lately: flow.

What I’ve quickly come to appreciate is how differently we all perceive it. When I asked a few friends what flow meant to them, everyone gave me a slightly different answer. Some described something happening around them. Others described forward movement, working toward a goal or simply “going with the flow.” One even described it as a state of control and peace combined. Hmm.

I think of it a little differently.

For me, flow starts inside, as opposed to around me, and is one of the most prized energies I cultivate in life. Namely because, I believe just about everything in life is a combination of energy and flow. They’re soul sisters—and I’m going to be talking much more about energy in a few days.

Back to flow.

When I’m in flow, and by that I mean I can actually feeeel it, everything within me feels aligned. And somehow, everything around me seems to fall into better balance too.

Flow feels good.

Which made me want to understand something more useful than simply what flow is. What I really want to know is what creates flow within us.

Because if we can recognize the conditions in which we find flow, perhaps we can cultivate more of it.

And what I discovered, as suspected, is that it starts with ourselves. Not the other way around.
